Frank van Wijk is a specialist in historical organs and will interpret works by Johann Sebastian Bach on the historic König organ.
Frank van Wijk studied organ, harpsichord, and church music at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Piet Kee and Jacques van Oortmerssen, among others. Today, he works as a concert organist, lecturer, and church musician, and he is significantly involved with the famous historic organs of the Laurens Church in Alkmaar. Together with Pieter van Dijk, he is directing the "Organ Festival Holland".
Numerous CD and DVD recordings as well as music-historical publications—particularly on the history of the Alkmaar organ—document his artistic work.
Time: 7.00 p.m.
