Open-minded, fun-loving and tolerant: this is how the Trier-Olewig Wine Festival, which has been organised by the local winegrowers' association for over 70 years, should be.
That's why the festival is also open to other liquid treasures, such as beer and Viez (cider). Good for the many guests who want to celebrate variety in a glass on the thoroughfare (which is closed for the duration of the festival), on the neighbouring green area or in the courtyards of the local winegrowers and restaurants from Friday to Monday. Live music and culinary delights flank the festivities. Traditionally, the new Trier Wine Queen is also crowned at the Olewig Wine Festival. After all, the female sceptre should never be completely relinquished.
