Nach der Ernte

The major event "After the Harvest" at the LVR Open-Air Museum Kommern will showcase a variety of traditional farming and handicraft work from our ancestors. In addition to a farmers' market, dozens of cold-blooded horses and draught oxen, lots of vintage tractors and old agricultural equipment will be in action for a weekend in September.

History comes alive all year round at the LVR open-air museum in Kommern: Chickens run around between the houses and peck at the ground, cattle graze peacefully in the pasture and the smell of fresh bread wafts from the bakery. Visitors can wander through five different building groups and their buildings. The journey through time in the Rhineland begins at the end of the 15th century and ends in the 20th century.
