Ingelheim Red Wine Festival AWARDED

For nine days, from September 26 to October 4, the Ingelheim winemakers will present their latest and finest vintages at the Red Wine Festival in the unique ambiance of the Burgkirche grounds. Here, you can expect a variety of exquisite wines that will delight your palate.

It is one of the most beautiful wine festivals in Rheinhessen. Since 2014, this has been official, as the seal "Awarded Wine Festival" is given by Rheinhessenwein e.V. only to outstanding wine festivals that meet the high standards of wine offerings, food, and stay quality. 

As in the previous year, there will again be a “Piffche-Pass” that can be redeemed at various wine stands. The pass, which can be purchased at the Red Wine Fountain of the Ingelheimer Vinothek as well as in advance at the Tourist Information Ingelheim, offers the opportunity to get to know different wineries and to make some new discoveries. To simplify organization and processing, this year, each participating winery will have a personal favorite wine ready for users of the “Piffche-Pass.” Also, the “Schoppe-Kärtsche” will be back at the Red Wine Festival 2026. With the stamp card, you can exclusively get ten Schoppen for a total of 40 euros at the Red Wine Fountain during the nine festival days. 

The Red Wine Fountain, operated by the Ingelheimer Vinothek, once again serves as a showcase for Ingelheim wines and invites you to taste and discover. A wide range from the selection of the 25 Vinotheken wineries will be served, from Secco to white wine, from rosé to the great Ingelheim red wine. It is definitely worth making a stop at the Vinothek wine stand.

Due to the limited parking available in the immediate vicinity of the Ingelheim Red Wine Festival (residential area), we recommend using public transportation in Ingelheim, the regional bus lines, and the train.
