Two bands, seven musicians, and wistful folk rock; this is the perfect combination for a passionately nostalgic summer night in the Meulenwald. The Schweich original Andi Sittmann is coming to Schweich for the first time with a new formation.
With perfect harmony vocals and sophisticated guitar arrangements, he and the band Goldrush take the audience into the golden era of American folk rock. The band interprets timeless classics from America, Eagles, James Taylor, Crosby, Stills & Nash to Neil Young – authentic, moving, and full of musical passion.
Lineup:
Andreas Sittmann – rhythm guitar, lead vocals; Volker Besseler – solo guitar, lead vocals; Werner Schlöder – bass, vocals; Isabell Krohn – violin, mandolin, guitar, vocals; Lenny Klein – drums, vocals.
The young band The Strangers invites the audience on a journey into the "world of 'Old School' folk rock" with four musicians, three voices, two guitars, and a unique sound. The band is heavily influenced by the music of the 70s. Behind the nostalgic facade, the band's own creative identity quickly emerges. The songs come from the two talented songwriters: Vincent Klein and Isabell "Easy" Krohn. With a fresh harmonic breeze and the groovy rhythms of Leonard Klein on drums and David Rauth on bass, the songs come to life and take the audience on an electrifying musical journey.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Trier Forestry Office.
