Nature Walks in the Trifelsland
Sustainability Tour around Lindelbrunn Castle
The approximately 3 km long route, predominantly in the forest, is easily walkable but has elevation changes. Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear are required. The tour is suitable and interesting for families with school-aged children.
We hike from the parking lot along the sustainability trail established by the Annweiler Forestry Office in 2013, learning interesting facts about the forest, its structure, and its management. With the help of “picture frames”, the viewer's perspective is directed towards forest scenes that might otherwise only be noticed by experts. The highlight and conclusion is the visit to the ruins of Lindelbrunn Castle. Additionally, there will be expert information about the Pfälzerwald-Nordvogesen Biosphere Reserve and the unique characteristics of this natural area. We return to the starting point or optionally to refresh ourselves at the nearby “Cramerhaus”.
