The Romans also left their traces in Alzey, where in 2023 the Roman Year was celebrated with "1800 years of Romans in Alzey."
The five female authors and two male authors of the author group "Landschreiber" of course want to present new short stories in the theme year "Romans in Rheinhessen"!
Which Roman relics will the Landschreiber draw inspiration from? Are they stones with inscriptions from the vicus Altiaium, sculptures and columns – like those on display in the stone hall of the museum?
Finds of Roman coins? Roman glass and Terra Sigillata, the Roman pottery?
Is it about proud Romans and beautiful Roman women who found a home in Rheinhessen? Nescimus – We do not know…
