Birkweiler Weinfrühling (Birkweiler Wine Spring)

The Birkweiler Kastanienbusch is probably the most well-known vineyard of the 700-year-old winemaker village of Birkweiler. More than a dozen winemakers cultivate the valuable vineyards, some of which are quite steep, located up to 300 meters high. Experience with us the most romantic wine spring in the region. The gourmet and enjoyment mile in the vineyard location "Birkweiler Kastanienbusch" invites you to hike and stroll until the evening hours. The Birkweiler Kastanienbusch is not only one of the most famous vineyards in the southern Palatinate, but it is also the venue for the Birkweiler Wine Spring, which will take place for the 19th time in 2026. Over Pentecost, the "Keschdebusch" presents itself as the home of wine lovers and hikers for three days. At six stations, nine Birkweiler wineries together with local gastronomes offer their delicacies in the great outdoors. They invite you to linger and relax with delicious wines and fine dishes amidst the vineyards. A romantic vineyard hike leads a 2 km circular route over 120 meters in altitude, providing a magnificent view over the Rhine valley.
