After the pandemic-related silence, the six vagabonds are now soaring to a musical high that will undoubtedly captivate all listeners.

Metallic hard yet full of folk joy, the Hamburgers showcase their sixth studio album TITANIUM, sparking plenty of energy and once again refining their unique alloy of the Middle Ages and modernity. Epic and visually stunning, the opener "Flammenvogel" ignites the blacksmith's fire with radiant violin melodies, after which "Stahlhammer" makes the anvil tremble with pounding drums. "Nicht A" delivers, alongside blaring shawms, the typical carefree wit full of (self) irony and brims with celebratory spirit, while "Nie wieder Met" sweeps over the listeners like a raging hurricane.

"Legenden" speaks of heroes and courage, inviting with hymnic choruses and acoustic guitar to the flickering campfire until "Gott gegen Gott," with apocalyptic bass thunder, heralds nothing less than the end of the world. In contrast, the myth of the Scottish cannibal "Sawney Bean" begins almost tenderly, the first Vogelfrey song with English lyrics, whose gruesome story is underscored by bouzouki and strings. "Samael hilf" conjures the inner demons with hammering guitar riffs, closely followed by "1000 Jahre Bier," a Deichkind cover that, in typical Vogelfrey sound attire, pays homage to the barley juice with cracking cello and thundering drums. A rough duet partner in this case is none other than Mr. Hurley from Mr. Hurley & die Pulveraffen. "Unsterblich" finally forms the heavy-hearted and epochal finale of the album with orchestral might.

TITANIUM powerfully emphasizes the musical and lyrical strengths from eighteen years of band history, without shying away from new creative ideas. VOGELFREY rises like a fiery phoenix to the heavens.
