As part of our event series "Adventure Home", you will visit the water castle Crottorf on this date, which is privately owned by the House of Hatzfeldt-Wildenburg.
The number of participants is limited. Please register.
Immerse yourself in the development of the castle from its first documented mention in 1326 to the present day.
Dr. Jens Friedhoff, historian and expert on the von Hatzfeldt family, will explain the history of Crottorf Castle and show you the outdoor area and the courtyard.
The water castle Crottorf, owned by the von Hatzfeldt family since 1563, ranks among the most significant art and historical monuments in the Altenkirchen district, like the castles Schönstein near Wissen, Friedewald near Daaden, Wildenburg, and Freusburg near Kirchen on the Sieg.
