Workshop Blau machen mit Waid

Under the leadership of Margit Hofmann, participants will dye with fresh woad, which was specifically grown on the museum's premises. The course is aimed at anyone interested in natural dyeing and craft processes.

In the workshop, practical work takes center stage. The traditional dyeing process with woad is implemented step by step and tested together. Participants will gain direct insight into working with the plant and the creation of the blue color.

In addition to practical work, the course provides solid fundamentals on the theory of woad dyeing and the indigo pigment it contains. Knowledge and application are closely interlinked.

Course fee: 130.00 € per person, including materials and admission.
