The town of Zell kicks off the Christmas season on 28 November with an Advent market and the wonderful fairytale parade organised by Zell's ‘Gewerbeverein’. From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., the small, fine Advent market around the market square and in the town hall offers handicrafts, decorative items and lovingly handmade Christmas and gift articles. At 5:30 pm, the popular fairytale parade starts with numerous colourfully illuminated groups and floats through Zell's old town.
