He doesn't just want to play

Some say this, others say that, and the rest wonder: ‘Is that really all there is?’ But apparently, the only thing that counts for us anymore is ‘black or white’ and nothing in between. Young versus old, city versus country, west versus east, and always head versus wall.

But how fortunate that we have HG. Butzko, the inventor of buddy cabaret, winner of all the major cabaret awards and a permanent fixture on all satirical programmes. One man, one bar table, one opinion! No frills, no fuss!

And at a time when the division of society is being driven forward, HG. Butzko is now daring to try something new: a balancing act on a tightrope, a balancing act on a narrow ridge, and the pigeonhole people want to put him in has fallen out of the frame.

Because in a polarised world where two sides are constantly at each other's throats, the Gelsenkirchen-based brain pacemaker knows no relatives and no mercy, sparing neither one side nor the other, and certainly not himself. And as a reward, he is harassed by both sides.
