Tagesausflug Heilbronn-Franken und Heidelberg

With a hike and a stay in Heidelberg. We will undertake an excursion by bus to participate in the IVV hike in Schwaigern (organized event) with the hiking friends 1984 Schwaigern e.V. and an subsequent stay in Heidelberg for leisure activities.

Heidelberg, one of the most romantic cities in Germany, offers a variety of attractions that are perfect for a 2-hour stay.

Start your visit with a stroll through the Old Town, whose charming alleys and historic buildings convey a unique atmosphere. Particularly impressive is the marketplace with the Church of the Holy Spirit, a late Gothic church that tells a significant part of the city's history.

A must-see is the Heidelberg Castle. From the Old Town, you can either walk or take the funicular railway up to the castle hill. The castle ruins provide not only an insight into the history of the Electors but also a breathtaking view over the city and the Neckar valley.

Directly below the castle lies the Philosopher's Path, a picturesque walking trail that is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the city. Here you can enjoy the tranquility and experience the magnificent panoramic view of Heidelberg and its surroundings.

Not to be forgotten is the Old Bridge, the Karl-Theodor Bridge, which connects the Old Town with the banks of the Neckar River. The bridge from the 18th century is a popular photo motif and a symbol of the city.
