With a hike and a guided tour of Augustusburg Castle. We will undertake an excursion by bus to participate in the IVV hike in Alt-Hürth (organized event) with the hiking apprentices there, as well as a subsequent tour of Augustusburg Castle (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Alt-Hürth is one of the oldest districts of the city of Hürth and was already a significant ecclesiastical location before industrialization. The town center still conveys a traditional Rhine atmosphere with small shops, dining options, and historic buildings.
The Augustusburg Castle in Brühl is one of the most significant structures of German Rococo and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984, together with the Falkenlust hunting lodge. Elector Clemens August of Bavaria had the complex built starting in 1725 as a summer residence.
