As part of our event series "Adventure Homeland", you will visit the castle complex Freusburg on this date.
The number of participants is limited. Please register.
The early medieval hill castle in Freusburg, Kirchen (Sieg), has been used as a youth hostel since 1928 and, with around 60,000 overnight stays per year, is one of the most visited youth hostels in Germany. Historian Dr. Jens Friedhoff can not only report on the long history of the building and its noble owners, but also on the extensive renovations by Ernst Stahl during the establishment of "model youth hostels." Dr. Friedhoff will lead you through the outdoor area as well as through the castle cellar, the vault, the basement, and into sleeping quarters and other interesting locations of the castle complex.
