With a proper blue bruise on his voice and a furious fireworks display of indie, pop, folk, and much more, the native Ludwigshafen artist Gringo Mayer released his third album “Laav” in January 2025 (#57 on the album charts). Coupled with a sardonic demeanor, somewhere between show star and tragicomedy, he sings with a wink of lightness about the absurdities of everyday social life and tells stories from the shadiest corners of a crazy world.
