Geo-Tour ''Donnersberg''

Visit the exciting geo tours on the Donnersberg.

The geology of our Earth accompanies us day by day. How have landscapes retained their current structure, and what secrets do the earth's crust and the deeper rocks hold? Embark on an exciting journey through 300 million years of development, settlement, and cultural history of our planet.

With the guidance of an expert tour guide, participants will learn many interesting details about the geoscientifically significant Lorraine-Saar-Nahe depression with the Donnersberg, about volcanism at Donnersberg, and about the geology of the surrounding regions. Integrated into the geo tour is the settlement history of the mountain, especially the history of the Celtic oppidum, one of the largest Celtic cities north of the Alps and its builders and inhabitants.

Meeting point: 2:00 PM, parking lot on the Donnersberg plateau. Tour guide: Christoph Breitenbach

Duration approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, participant fee: €6.00 (adults), €2.00 (children aged 7 to 16)
