The guided circular tour starts in Bad Bertrich and leaves the spa town after a few steps through the geologically highly interesting cheese grotto. Be inspired by the impressive and deeply engraved natural and volcanic landscape that the Üßbach has formed along its lower course over the millennia. On winding paths, you will learn stories from antiquity, the Middle Ages and modern times. Get hints of other worthwhile insights along the course of the stream, which stretches over a total of almost 49 km! Gain an insight into the geological uniqueness of the Volcanic Eifel. Take some time out and become one with a section of the Üßbachtal's nature, which is inaccessible to vehicles, and enjoy this intensive trip for a long time to come! The tour is not suitable for baby carriages or people with walking difficulties. A head for heights and a good level of fitness are required. WC and refreshment stops are available before and after the hike. It is recommended that you take provisions, water and a fully charged cell phone with you. Please remember to wear good shoes and clothing suitable for the weather.
