While Schinderhannes was celebrated as a hero of the poor in the Hunsrück, there was at the same time a counterpart on the Eifel side, leading a no less furious gang. It was a man named Hans Bast Nikolai and his associates, known as the Mosel gang. This Mosel gang was particularly active in the mill environment.

Their newest narrative collection "The Mosel Gang. Tales" was created as part of her activity as a course instructor for the district adult education center Cochem at the Moselle. The reader not only learns about the true stories of the bandits of yesteryear but also a wealth of eerie tales from some well-known places in the Eifel and along the Moselle, which are now attractions for attractive hiking trails, interesting nature and cultural monuments, as well as good wines, delicious food, and many other offers to relax and unwind.
