Wild and Hiking Park Southern Wine Route invites you to the Wildlife Park Festival

When the first leaves start to change color on the trees and a hint of autumn hangs over the Palatinate Forest, it's time for the annual Wildlife Park Festival at the Wild and Hiking Park Southern Wine Route near Silz.

This year, the "Nature Park with Heart" invites you to the event on Sunday, September 6. Traditionally, the day's program begins at 10:30 AM with the Hubertus Mass, accompanied by the hunting horn players.
The Holy Hubertus is considered the patron saint of hunting; he is said to have converted to Christianity after encountering a stag with a crucifix in its antlers. One probably won't come across such a wondrous creature in the Wild and Hiking Park. But otherwise, the Wildlife Park Festival promises many animal-related, entertaining, and exciting encounters.

Especially for children, the action day at the Wild and Hiking Park is a grand celebration. In addition to the playground with a giant slide, there is a colorful children's program.

The restaurant in and around the Wild and Hiking Park offers some special "wild and not wild" dishes in addition to the regular menu.

If you're in the mood for a little hike, you should embark on one of the circular trails through the beautiful forest and meadow landscape. 400 animals from 15 different European species call the expansive grounds home. Whether in the petting zoo or in the wild, whether wild wolves or cuddly rabbits, they all ensure an unforgettable nature experience for the whole family.
