The Tenebrae Choir is regarded as one of the finest vocal ensembles in Great Britain, captivating with its clear, versatile sound, technical brilliance, and deep expression. Founded in 2001 by Nigel Short – former countertenor with The Tallis Scholars and The King’s Singers – the ensemble combines the warmth of English choral music with inspiring modernity. Its repertoire ranges from Renaissance music to contemporary works, distinguished by artfully crafted programs in atmospheric performances. With international concert tours, radio recordings, and numerous award-winning recordings, Tenebrae sets standards.
