The Pirmasens Belznickel Market transforms the castle square in the pedestrian zone into a small, cozy Christmas market with a view of the Old Town Hall, which presents itself as one of the largest Advent calendars in the Palatinate.
The Belznickel Market has long become the meeting point for families, friends/acquaintances, and colleagues. In a cozy atmosphere, one can enjoy the pre-Christmas season here.
The Belznickel Market also includes a popular and varied program with musicians/bands, choirs, brass music, and theater, which can be found here in November.
The popular ice skating rink will also be set up again. Skate rentals are available in sufficient quantities.
The “Christmas Creative Market” takes place on the first two Advent weekends on Saturday and Sunday in the Old Town Hall. Marvel at handmade and decorative items for the Christmas season as well as gift ideas in the Landgrafensaal.
And where does the Belznickel Market get its name? Quite simply - the Belznickel is the Santa Claus in the Southwestern Palatinate.
