Elisabethstraße 3, 35037 Marburg
In the 13th century, the builders of the Elisabeth Church utilized the latest insights from French cathedral architecture to construct one of the first purely Gothic churches in the German-speaking area in Marburg. They created a unique building, overwhelming for the people of the late Middle Ages and still impressive for us modern visitors.
This tour aims to convey an impression of the modernity of the Elisabeth Church at the time of its construction.
