With Jonas Aumiller, a pianist of extraordinary stature, making his debut in Cochem. His playing captivates with great sound culture and seriousness, while immense virtuosity serves the true musical expression. Aumiller studied in Italy and the USA and is the winner of the 3rd International Brahms Competition, as well as the silver medals at the competitions in Hamamatsu, Monza, and Sendai. His outstanding performances at the Van Cliburn Competition in Fort Worth and the Chopin Competition in Warsaw 2025 have garnered worldwide attention. In the grand opening concert of the 32nd season of the International Piano Summer, Aumiller will perform works by Chopin, Scriabin, Schumann, and, as a special highlight, his own highly virtuosic transcriptions of Liszt's symphonic poems "Orpheus" and "Les Préludes".
