Words and nature in harmony: Along rugged rocks, through blooming meadows and quiet forests, the literary hike of the Burgfestspiele Mayen leads through the beautiful Nitzbachtal up to the ruins of Virneburg Castle. At selected stations, poems, stories, and thoughts intertwine with the landscape – sometimes quietly and poetically, other times impressively and resonantly. Those who dare the ascent will be rewarded not only with wide views but also with inspiring moments.
