**A Tour of the Old Town Along the Enz and Metter Rivers**
This walking tour takes you to the most important sights of our city. Bietigheim’s medieval old town, which has been largely preserved, offers impressive examples of historical architecture paired with modern architecture and art within a very compact area. In this limited urban space, the buildings rise skyward, vying with one another in their carvings and ornamentation. At the same time, visitors today also encounter reminders of our own era. Numerous sculptures and statues, such as the “Ku(h)riosum”—the cow on the jug—or Jürgen Goertz’s “Tower of Gray Horses,” populate the streetscape, lending the cityscape a unique vibrancy. At the end of the tour, you’ll encounter a work of art of a special kind: Villa Visconti with its more than 300 busts.
