E, the posh little rascal

The audience can expect a fast-paced comedy about the madness of the housing market: Isi and Rainer aren’t exactly the most attractive tenants. For fifty years, everyone has called them Easy&Rider, and they’re still die-hard hippies. Careers and household chores have never interested them as much as weed, Janis Joplin, and free love. Unfortunately, after receiving a notice of termination for the landlord’s personal use, they have to leave their cozy apartment. In the tough Karlsruhe rental market, the crazy retirees wouldn’t stand a chance—if their granddaughter hadn’t suggested a makeover on the spot. The aging hippies transform into a wealthy artist couple with their own gallery in New York. And it actually works out well—until suddenly their entire chaotic family wants to move into the chic apartment on Gutenbergplatz.
