Experience history up close at the Ockenheim Local Museum!
Dive into the life of past times and discover a fascinating exhibition about life around 1900 and 1950 at the Ockenheim Local Museum. Let yourself be inspired by unique exhibits – and the special thing: In cabinets and drawers of the exhibition rooms, you can discover for yourself what people used to keep in their households.
Experience the working world in the countryside, get to know old professions, take a look into nostalgic children's rooms, and be fascinated by historical kitchen appliances. An exciting trip into the past for the whole family!
This year, you can also expect two new special exhibitions: “Traveling Spirit of the 60s” takes you with the winkingly titled “Liverwurst Sandwich on the Beach of Rimini” into the holiday and everyday culture of this turbulent time. The exhibition “Turned Off? – Not at all!” shows under the motto “Old Lamps in New Light” how historical lights uniquely connect history, technology, and design.
Visit us and let yourself be inspired by the history of Ockenheim and its surroundings – an unforgettable experience awaits you!
Admission is free – we greatly appreciate any voluntary donations.
The museum is open from 2 PM to 5 PM.
