Venice in the Snow

That evening, they’re expecting Christophe and his girlfriend Patricia, whom they haven’t met yet. But Patricia isn’t in the mood for a dinner where she doesn’t know anyone anyway. On the way there, the two get into a heated argument. Furious, she decides not to say a word all evening, which leads the hosts to mistake her for a foreigner. They feel sorry for her and want to do something nice for her. When Patricia realizes the misunderstanding, she decides to have some fun with it: She suddenly starts speaking in a made-up language and invents a home country called Chouwenien. While Christophe would like nothing more than to sink into the ground out of embarrassment, Patricia enjoys the absurd situation, and the evening for the four of them turns out completely differently than expected… Romantic comedy or social satire?
