El Mawi, born in Cádiz, the city where he began his training in the world of flamenco and sang and danced at the city’s most renowned theaters and festivals from a young age. He studied classical and contemporary dance and performance at the Charo Cruz School, under the guidance of Javier Latorre, Antonio Canales, Farruquito, and Rocío Molina, among others.
Alejandro Suarez Roa grew up in the Barrio de la Vina, a historic neighborhood of Cádiz that becomes the heart of the city, especially during the famous Carnaval de Cádiz. Over the course of his career, he has worked with singers such as Ramón Heredia and Rancapino Junior, as well as Mara Rey from Farruquito’s company.
Miguel Llobell was born in Cádiz. His roots lie in flamenco. However, influences from Cuban, African, and Brazilian music, as well as jazz, have also shaped his musical style. He studied with Rubem Dantas (Paco de Lucía, Camarón de la Isla, Chick Corea, etc.), the father of percussion and the cajón in flamenco. Rubem had a lasting influence on his view of percussion in flamenco, but Llobell always remained open to other musical styles. Miguel Llobell also received part of his training from famous flamenco percussionists such as Ramón Porrina and Israel Suarez.
