**This coming Sunday, the WTG Tourist Information Office invites you to a special guided tour: Under the title “Rottenburg’s Forgotten Places,” visitors will discover spots, buildings, and landmarks that are easily overlooked in everyday life—yet tell us a great deal about Rottenburg’s history and culture.** **The tour offers fascinating insights into hidden traces of the past: inconspicuous marks on building facades, forgotten memorial stones, or hidden corners in the Old Town. They are silent witnesses to bygone eras, brought to life only through the stories of tour guide Ernst Heimes. For example, what our ancestors did, in typical Swabian fashion—making the city pay for the fourth wall of the house or massively cheating on property taxes. A hole in the facade, an extra board on the balcony, and suddenly the town stank even more—and yet it was a step forward in hygiene back in the day.
