A duo that transcends genre boundaries and celebrates music in its purest form. Max Mutzke, one of Germany’s most distinctive voices, combines stage presence, down-to-earth charm, and humor in an incomparable way. In this special duo format, he presents himself in a stripped-down, intimate, yet powerful manner. He is accompanied by the exceptional Cuban pianist Marialy Pacheco, whose virtuosic and sensitive playing provides the perfect setting to present Mutzke’s songs in their purest form: voice meets piano—minimal, intense, yet incredibly multifaceted. This special musical partnership elevates Mutzke’s songs to a whole new level through elegant and varied new arrangements. The joy the two musicians take in making music together is both audible and palpable.
