What print experiments would Max Slevogt likely be conducting today? Following in his footsteps, this workshop will allow for experiments while also providing insight into traditional techniques. Particularly remarkable about Slevogt is his immediacy, his direct work on plates, the movement of his hand, the lightness and vigor evident in his strokes. The view from the garden into the Palatinate expanse, the hidden spots in the garden, the precise observation of light and shadow, and the imagination it inspires are the sources of artistic possibilities on site.
Knowledge of drawing and a sketchbook are advantageous; knowledge of printing is not necessarily required.
