Max Slevogt, also known as the "King of Illustration," realized more than 50 book and portfolio projects with his publisher Bruno Cassirer alone. In addition, he created numerous works with other publishers. To be able to print in the Palatinate, he set up a printing workshop in the Slevogthof in Neukastel. He often spent his Berlin evenings in the so-called witch's kitchen of his friend Josef Grünberg, who was tinkering with a special printing press. Thus, print graphics are inseparably linked to the creative Slevogt and offered him completely different means of expression and a wide variety of themes compared to painting.
Admission: 8 euros, only at the box office! No registration required!
For participants of the subsequent printing workshop with Prof. Tina Stolt, admission is free.
