*Open-Air Summer 2026* Double D is… …the dance music duo with a twist! With their repertoire of ballads, soul, pop, and rock songs, the musical duo Martin & Susanne Dörr have always stayed true to themselves and their “mission”: “It has to be fun for us and the audience.” Double D & the music… …began with the two musicians meeting in the musical “King David – Touch the Sky.” There, Martin—as the lead character “King David”—and Susanne—as the narrator “Lisa”—got to know and love each other on the big stage over the course of two sold-out seasons. The musical was thus a significant milestone in both of their lives and the starting point for Double D. Susanne had already earned her stripes long before that. As the frontwoman of the rock bands “Nanook” and “The Poke,” or as a lead and backup singer in cover bands like “Sister Rosa” and “Sisters,” as well as a backup singer for Pat Fritz—who is known far beyond the region—Susanne has practically always been behind the microphone and continues to rock the house from there. Before Martin took over vocals, keyboards, and sound engineering for Double D, he performed as a keyboardist and singer in groups like “Popchorn” and “2nd Turn.” In between, Martin—like Susanne—spent time in the studio working on CD productions.
