Cello virtuoso with inner radiance
In the 2023/24 season, Anastasia Kobekina made her debut with the renowned Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich under the direction of Paavo Järvi. In the summer of 2024, both the orchestra and the cellists were featured multiple times at the Rheingau Music Festival – but never in a joint concert. In 2026, it will finally take place, and the prestigious ensemble along with the celebrated soloist – our focus artist from 2024 – will share the stage in an exclusive concert at the Wiesbaden Kurhaus. Joining them is Edward Elgar's emotional and multifaceted Cello Concerto in E minor, which is in the best hands with Anastasia Kobekina, her brilliant playing, and her interpretations illuminated by strong intellect and sensitive emotion. Also in the best hands is Ludwig van Beethoven's Seventh Symphony with the Tonhalle Orchestra and its chief conductor, who will lead the concert evening to its splendid conclusion with this work.
