Play Description
Marilyn was by no means the naive girl she so successfully pretended to be for the male world! She was merely the embodiment of an American dream - in blonde.
From the small, frightened girl Norma Jean emerged a film idol, a sex symbol, a global star - after her tragic death - a myth. She became a box office hit in Hollywood, especially when her singing talent was discovered, albeit somewhat late. The film industry did not thank her for it, but rather insisted on the role cliché of the naive blonde. 

She resisted this, because behind all the superficial glamour stood a sincere actress with high expectations of herself. In our program, we are not interested in speculations about her myth. The secret of her impact and success lies rather in the dazzling personality of Monroe herself and in the way she performed her songs.
