CleanUP Days in the Belchen region of the Black Forest

CleanUP Days in the Black Forest: Collecting trash together and protecting nature. A sustainable, hands-on event for locals and visitors that combines hiking with active environmental protection. The Belchen region of the Black Forest is participating again this year in the Black Forest CleanUP Days, a Black Forest-wide cleanup campaign. The event is organized by Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH, which brings the event to the Black Forest in collaboration with local tourism organizations. Anyone can participate! Both locals and vacationers alike. How can I participate? 1. Register at the Schönau or Wieden Tourist Information offices between April 22 and May 13, 2026. 2. Let the staff on site know how many other people you plan to bring to the event. 3. Specify which day during the above-mentioned period you want to go out. Of course, you can also go out on multiple days. 4. Tell the staff the route along which you want to collect trash. 5. Pick up a free CleanUP kit (trash bags, gloves, or tongs) when you register at the Schönau or Wieden Tourist Information Office. You can keep the kit afterward! 6. Head out, clean up, and enjoy nature, the fun of being in a group, and the great feeling of making a difference together. 7. As a registered team, drop off the collected trash from Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 15, 2026, during the respective opening hours at the Schönau and Wieden Tourist Information offices. It’s that simple! Join in and, together with thousands of other participants, help make the Black Forest—which, unlike any other region in Germany, boasts such a high density of large nature reserves—a little bit cleaner again!
