Rock 'n' Lyrics with Jo Jung: A Journey Through Rock History

POEMS ON THE ROCKS are celebrating their 20th anniversary on stage. A completely new program awaits the audience!!! It’s the 5th journey through ROCK HISTORY. In this colorful and diverse anniversary program, the audience will find songs by SCN, Neil Young, David Bowie, The Beatles, Nick Kershaw, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, and many more—all rock gems from past decades. What makes this music project special—and what sets this ensemble apart from mere cover bands—are the lyrical German translations, delivered amidst the outstanding ROCK CLASSICS by actor JO JUNG, the voice of many productions for ZDF, SWR, and ARTE. This fuses music, acting, and visual art into a seamless whole. Acting meets rock; language dominates the groove, and vice versa. The powerful-voiced singer JÖRG KRAUSS, with his rock-infused mellowness, and the four virtuoso musicians provide the professional, groovy foundation for the songs. POEMS ON THE ROCKS also address the literary aspect with German translations in the form of lyrical POETRY—a blend of POETRY and ROCK. What makes it special is the song-specific video show in the background. This fuses music, acting, and visual art into a total work of art. An event in cooperation with the Rittergartenverein.
