**RIAN is back: With his debut album “Blumendisko,” he’s hitting the road in 2026 for a tour of the same name—from newcomer to platinum indie pop star and AMADEUS Award winner. One of them, “Schwarzes Schaf,” went viral in 2023 and offered a taste of the indie artist’s breakthrough, as he scores points with contemporary and unpretentious mainstream appeal. The Austrian musician and entertainer has found his style: He blends German-language indie pop with clever comedy and always conveys a socio-political relevance for the greater good. His songs are whimsical gems in the tradition of KAFFKIEZ, Danger Dan, Antilopen Gang, Falco, or Manu Chao—fun and danceable on the surface, yet deep, (self-)critical, and always empathetic. In 2024, RIAN landed a veritable hit at the top of the charts with “Verwandtschaftstreffen,” earning gold and platinum certifications in Austria. With 15 million streams, he has firmly cemented his place in the German-speaking music scene; his songs are in heavy rotation on the biggest radio stations, won a staggering three Amadeus Austrian Music Awards in 2025, and have become the soundtrack to his fans’ lives.
