The protagonists of the evening are the 1820s, the Vienna of Schubert and Beethoven, and the water, which plays an important role in the nature lyrics of the time. In songs such as the "Trout," the "Fisher," and the (extended with a French horn voice) "On the Stream," it is depicted as a foreign, alluring, and dangerous element. We will present Beethoven's C-major cello sonata, heralding his late work, and his pointed song "The Kiss" alongside the delightful "Milonga para Ludwig" (2020) by our composing accordionist Miloš Todorovski. Lastly, Dvorak's string quintet in E-flat major, composed in 1893, captivates with its wealth of melodies and compositional mastery.
Let yourselves be classically seduced and enjoy the live experience with our fermate musicians when it’s time again: The stage is set for the Palatinate!
