In the final concert of our festival, we return to the starting point of our journey: Berlin in the 1920s. A detour to Bohemia and Moravia offers a chance to revisit Bohuslav Martinů (whose "Les Rondes" was originally called "Mährische Tänze") and opens up the wonderful fantasy world of Leoš Janáček with the Concertino. After the intermission, the 16-year-old pianist Elena Neumann shines with Liszt's Rhapsodie espagnole, before the salon orchestra traditionally formed by all fermate musicians breaks into tangos by Carlos Gardel. Baritone and audience favorite Erwin Belakowitsch enchants with hits by Jurmann (Mein Gorilla hat ‘ne Villa im Zoo) and Heymann (Ein Freund, ein guter Freund). To conclude, we will celebrate the warm Palatinate summer evening with a potpourri of timeless hits by George Gershwin: Summertime!
Let yourself be classically seduced and enjoy the live experience with our fermate musicians as we once again say: The stage is set for the Palatinate!
