We’ll spend an immersive day together by the fire, far away from everyday life—with everything that goes with it: building a fire, cooking outdoors, and microadventures **WHAT IS ADVENTURE CAMP ALL ABOUT?** - **Building a fire using rudimentary techniques** We’ll approach the topic step by step. First, we’ll take a look at the history of fire use: How have humans built fires over hundreds of thousands of years? Why was it essential for survival—and what exactly happens physically during the process? Together, we’ll clarify the basics: What three elements does a fire need—and how does a flame form from them? Next, we’ll demonstrate different techniques and tools and analyze what matters most. After this theoretical introduction, you’ll put it into practice yourselves: You’ll have plenty of time to experiment under expert guidance—and finally get your own fire burning: The challenge for our camp is: Modern tools stay in the bag today—our cooking fires will all be lit using one of the newly learned techniques. - **Cooking Over a Campfire** Together, we’ll prepare a multi-course campfire menu—of course using high-quality Petromax equipment, which you’ll have the chance to try out extensively on-site. At camp, you’ll learn different cooking techniques and be amazed at what’s possible outdoors. - **A Little Microadventure** In addition to fire-making and campfire cooking, another highlight awaits you: namely, a little microadventure. We won’t reveal exactly what it entails in advance. Just this much: It demands your attention, gets you moving, and is centered around the theme of “orientation.” The Petromax Adventure Camp is designed for anyone who loves nature, fire, authentic outdoor experiences, and good food. You can register as individuals, families, or small groups.
