### **Midsummer Nights Kickoff**
**“Messages to the Heavens – Calligraphy, Sound, and Light”**
**Date:** Friday, June 19, 2026
**Time:** 8:00 p.m.
**Location:** Romanesque Pilgrimage Church in Schienen
Free admission
To kick off the Höri Midsummer Nights, the pilgrimage church transforms into an artistic installation of writing, sound, and light. Words from Christian mysticism come to life. Visitors can write a personal message “upward” on a card—a wish, a hope, or a thought.
Calligrapher Dagmar von Münster-Lazi captures these words within the church and transforms them live into calligraphic script. During the writing process, the words rise up as a projection on the church walls and merge with the architecture of the space.
Atmospheric lighting, a handpan, and Martin Schnabel’s electric violin accompany the quiet moments of writing. Gently shifting lighting moods allow writing, music, and space to resonate with one another anew time and again.
The entire evening unfolds without a spoken word—as a quiet, poetic presentation that blends personal messages with a shared experience of writing, sound, and light.
**Your Words in Light – An Invitation to Participate**
Dear visitors, upon entering, you will receive a small card. Please take a moment to write down a thought, a wish, or a message (ideally 3–6 words). Please return the card at the entrance.
Throughout the evening, contributions will be recorded live by a calligrapher, artistically interpreted, and translated into a unique form of writing—visible as a projection in the space.
Gradually, a collective image emerges from many individual voices—embedded in light, sound, and architecture.
We look forward to you helping shape this space with your own words.
