From Home Birth to Family Center

“From Home Births to Family Centers”: a guided city tour with registrar Sandra Schaber on July 10 (5 p.m.) as part of the “Strong Women” event series. The discovery of a midwife’s bag in the city archives inspired registrar Sandra Schaber to go on a quest for clues: What are all these items in the leather bag? Where in Güglingen did the midwife who owned this bag live? Are there still people in Güglingen who were delivered by her? Where do pregnant women or young mothers meet midwives today? Anyone who would like to hear the answers can join Sandra Schaber on a guided city tour. Meeting point: Mediothek Güglingen, Wilhelm-Arnold-Platz 5. Following the tour, a slide presentation titled “On the Birth of a Child” with midwife Cornelia Enning will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Herzogskelter. The events can be attended independently of one another.
