A guided tour for the whole family through the medieval squares and winding alleys of Wetzlar's old town.
Charming half-timbered houses alongside representative buildings from the time of the Imperial Chamber Court shape the cityscape. Johann Wolfgang Goethe spent time in Wetzlar in the summer of 1772. His experiences inspired the poet to his first major literary success, the epistolary novel "The Sorrows of Young Werther".
The fascinating unfinished cathedral, as a gothic church structure, reflects a piece of urban history through its combination of Romanesque and Gothic elements.
Suitable for children aged 5 and above.
