From France to the Burgwald
Many fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm have their origins in France and Italy and were brought to Germany by the Huguenots. On a short hike (approx. 90 min.) along the cultural long-distance hiking trail “Huguenot and Waldensian Path” in the Burgwald, we embark on a cultural-historical quest. After a group refreshment with coffee, cake, and sausages, we will learn interesting facts about the journey of fairy tales through Europe.
The highlight will be a special narration of “Sleeping Beauty,” presented by fairy tale storyteller Gudrun Rathke and accompanied by violinist Cornelia Ilg.
The hike starts at 2 p.m. at the sports and cultural hall (Willershäuser Str. 2, 35119 Rosenthal) in the parking lot. The route (approx. 1.5 hours) leads to the Kuckuckshütte in Rosenthal at the edge of the forest on the L3077 towards Haina (Monastery).
