Kandel Christmas Market

The traditional Christkindelmarkt in Kandel takes place around St. George's Church and on the Plätzel, inviting visitors to enjoy a festive atmosphere during the Advent season. 

Festively decorated stalls offer a diverse selection of handmade gift ideas and Christmas specialties. Handcrafted items made from fabric, wool, wood, and other natural materials complement the offering. The aroma of freshly baked pastries and mulled wine creates a special pre-Christmas atmosphere.

A varied supporting program accompanies the market throughout its duration. This includes, for example, church services at St. George's Church as well as concerts and musical performances on the stage at the Plätzel. The Christmas post office near the nativity scene allows especially little visitors to send their wish lists to the Christkind.

The Christkindelmarkt takes place from the 2nd to the 4th Advent weekend, each Friday to Sunday.

The market is easily reachable by public transport. It is about a five-minute walk from Kandel train station along the main street to the event area.
