## 2026 Village Fountain Festival in Ottenhöfen, Black Forest ### Tradition. Community. Love of Home. **July 25 & 26, 2026** A highlight in the event calendar of the mill village of Ottenhöfen in the Black Forest is just around the corner: On **Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, 2026**, the traditional **Village Fountain Festival** invites locals and guests from near and far to two festive days full of atmosphere. ### Festival Kickoff on Saturday The festival begins on **Saturday at 4:00 p.m.** with a varied program for the whole family. Children in particular will have a blast at the **Garden Festival at the Community Center**: Various games of skill as well as a **children’s carousel with a candy stand** ensure plenty of fun and games. At **4:30 p.m.**, it’s “curtain up” for the popular **puppet show**. Kasperl and Seppel embark on new adventures at the community center—performed by the theater team of the **Kultur- und Heimatverein 1866 e.V.** The **official opening of the festival** takes place at **5:30 p.m.** with Mayor **Hans-Jürgen Decker** performing the traditional **barrel tapping**. The **Ottenhöfen Spa Band** will provide the musical opening to the festival weekend. In the evening, guests can look forward to a varied program featuring **party classics, traditional brass band music, and rock music** A special highlight at **8:00 p.m.** is the **Ortenau Dance Round**, during which people in traditional costumes from the region present a vivid display of living tradition in the spa gardens. At **9:00 p.m.**, the **“Dorfplatzhelden”** will create a great atmosphere with brass music in the **Egerland style** at the festively decorated village fountain. On both days, the **“Original Waldkircher Drehorgel” with JONECKO & OSO** will also provide musical accompaniment for the festival. ### Culinary Delights & Atmospheric Illumination Local clubs will treat guests to a wide selection of **regional specialties**—including tarte flambée, grilled dishes, fresh salads, coffee and cake, as well as fine beverages and wines. A special highlight is the **atmospheric illumination of the spa gardens**: Over **5,000 colorful lights** bathe the spa gardens and the Zieselberg in a festive atmosphere. ### Family Program on Sunday **Sunday begins at 11:00 a.m.** with a traditional **Weißwurst breakfast** and hearty brass band music from the **Oberachern Senior Band**. A colorful program awaits visitors throughout the rest of the day: - **1:00 p.m.:** Youth band **“Grinde Groover”** (Seebach & Ottenhöfen Music Associations) - **2:00 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.:** **“Fairy Tales for Royal Children”** at the community center with Katrin Bamberg - **Pony rides** for children in the afternoon - Performances by the **Mini Guard and Middle Guard of the Ottenhöfener Knörpeli e.V.** - **Children’s choir of the Erwin-Schweizer-Schule** The musical program continues in the afternoon with the **Lierbach Harmony Association**. ### Festive Finale on Sunday Evening In the evening, the **Frohsinn Choir** and the **marching bands from Önsbach and Ottenhöfen** will provide an atmospheric finale. In addition, two special events are on the schedule: - **Donation presentation from the Village Fountain Festival Run** - **Raffle** with attractive prizes The **Duo Marion & Michael** will provide the musical finale to the festival weekend with dance music. ### Village Fountain Festival Run – July 11, 2026 The traditional **“Rund um Ottenhöfen” Village Fountain Festival Run** will take place on **July 11, 2026**—a leisurely and enjoyable run **without timing** for runners, walkers, and mountain bikers.
